September 14 Forest City Park, Wantagh
Check out the cars at the picnic A Message From Our President Jim Seymour *** Long Island Roadsters *** Members I think that truly summarizes yesterdays event. I believe a great time was had by all in attendance. Right down to the Ice Water Bucket Brigade that soaked the "Old Man" as he is graciously Nicknamed. Weather was great other then being a little warm and humid, especially for those that resided around the grill for any length of time. Menu was over the top, Salads Galore, every type imaginable, Tray of Shrimp Cocktail, Baked Ziti, Baked Beans, Baked Potatoes (or as I like to call them) "Mickies", Corn on the Cob, fresh from the farm stand, Hamburgers including the special Bubba Burgers, Hot Dogs, Sweet & Hot Sausages with Peppers & Onions, Brats, Chicken Cutlets grilled to perfection with Teriyaki sauce, Spicy Chicken Wings, Kielbasa and Pineapple skewers. Then to finish it off with a desert table that had something sweet and tasty for all that indulged right down to Watermelon for the little ones. Oh all those little smiling faces that seemed to really enjoy the freedom of the Park Grounds. I think I captured all of it if I'm remiss with anything it's not because I didn't appreciate it but probably my memory is a little fuzzy from all the Bud Lights I indulged in. Once again a great turn out, great company, delicious food and another successful event for the Long Island Roadsters!!!!
